He used to say: “People write to us with hope; we must answer them.” An elementary school girl wrote to him: “…I have earned a reward for my accomplishments, and I am offering it to you to use on the path to defending the holy shrines.” “In the Name of the Almighty. I received your letter, which was brimming with generosity and dedication, from my beloved daughter Zahra”, Haj Qasem wrote back, adding: “I kiss your small, albeit strong hands and send you a ring as a gift. God willing, when you get older, do not forget to pray and supplicate for your devoted brothers and fathers. ” ———- The text of the letter: In the name of the Mujahideen’s God. This letter is addressed to the Grand Commander of Islam. Accept my humble salutations. In the Nahj al-Balagha of Imam Ali [PBU], I have read that Jihad is one of the gates of paradise that God opens for His distinctive companions. You and your fellow comrades are God’s dearest friends. In parallel, I am also fighting in another frontline, my school, and by the grace of God, last year I was successful and won awards. I shall send all my rewards to you, God’s companion, to spend on the defence of the holy shrines of Ahlal-Bayt (A.S). You and your comrades are in my thoughts and prayers, and I humbly ask for your heavenly intercession. May God bless you.
