The Blood of Martyrs: the seeds of hope for the next generation
Iran, due to its geostrategic location, abundant oil resources, and its unique religion has been for decades, the focal point of global interest. The Islamic Republic of Iran, whose goal is to propagate the Islamic ideology, has assiduously struggled with the malign American hegemony for over four decades.
Before the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979, Iran was reeling from an oppressive regime, albeit a lackey of the imperialist West. Under the tyrant Pahlavi regime, the Iranians did not even have the right to control their oil revenues and political direction. But the Iranian revolution left the plundering colonialists in the lurch and made them lose their erstwhile situation.
The imperialist powers did not remain idle as they began to frustrate the Iranians’ efforts to achieve independence and progress. The western powers saw that the Iranian revolution awoke a wave of Islamic consciousness across the Middle-East region . in general, the Iranian Islamic message foiled all American and Zionist mischievous agendas.
Hence, they sought relentlessly to overthrow Iran’s current democratic political establishment thorough imposing cruel sanctions, inciting Iraq to wage an 8-year war against the Iranian nation, assassinating the Iranian nuclear scientists, blocking Iranian assets, engulfing Iran with political and economic crises, and directing acts of espionage, terrorism, or sabotage.
The United States concocted different schemes to destabilize the oil-rich Middle-East. Creating terrorist groups like ISIS and Al- Qaeda, which had only a fake veneer of Islam was one of these vicious anti-Islamic activities. Washington also tried to sow seeds of seditions among the Muslim Ummah, provoking sectarian animosity between the sons and daughters of the same religion.
The Iranian government attempted to counteract the US virulent animosity against Islam and Muslims by establishing the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC)’s Quds Force, commanded by the Martyr Haj Qassem Soleimani.
General Qassem Soleimani had this lofty goal of defending Iran and other Islamic nations against the wicked American plots. Martyr Soleimani thwarted all American satanic designs. The global arrogance manifested in the United States thought that it would achieve its malicious intentions by inciting interminable wars and anarchy, but with no avail.
Assuming that it could regain its predominant position by assassinating Gen. Soleimani, the United States soon became cognizant of the fact that the blood of the martyrs, like Haj Qassem, would shake the foundations of its worldwide injustice.
