Qassem Soleimani: ISIS’ Number-One Enemy
It has been a well-established fact the US follies created terrorist organizations such as ISIS and bred notorious figures like Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and his ilk.
Since its inception in 1979, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the epitome of true Islam, has invariably endangered the American and Zionist nefarious agenda in the Middle-East region.
The White House successive administrations in complicity with the illegitimate regime of Israel for long intended to provoke internecine armed conflicts within the Islamic Ummah and sow the seeds of hate and hostility among the Muslim brotherly nations. The American imperialists sought to incite the civil wars in the region by employing their proxy militias in order to destroy the Islamic community’s cultural, spiritual and material capital. Looking through a different perspective, the extent of the devastation and mishap wrought by ISIS terrorists was in fact intended to buttress Israel’s security.
One of the most infamous terrorist groups created by the Americans in the region was ISIS, led by Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, a Salafist fanatic defected from Al-Qaeda, named Raqqa, a city in northeastern Syria, as the capital for the self-styled caliphate. The ideological foundations and religious beliefs of ISIS were derived from the heretical Wahhabi school of thought. By misinterpreting the Holy Quran and the Islamic laws, the Saudi-backed ISIS terrorists have perpetrated the most abominable crimes against the Islamic community in Iraq and neighbouring Syria.
The creation of ISIS was indeed a dreadful tragedy as it constantly attempted to tear apart the region and destroy its wealth and economy and spread horror, utter violence and misery wherever it goes. With the escalation of ISIS’ terrorist activities in the Middle-East, the IRGC’s Quds Force, under the command of Haj Qassem Soleimani, was ordered to prevent Syria from plunging into the abyss of total destruction. Iran’s military presence in Syria to counter ISIS’ menace was initially had advisory nature, but as the crisis intensified, Iran’s support for the Resistance Front in Syria attained new dimensions.
General Soleimani had successfully organized different resistance movements. Fatemiyoun and Zainabiyoun Brigades– consisting respectively of Afghan and Pakistani volunteers– and also the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces (also known by its acronym, PMF), are only a few examples of the late Gen. Soleimani’s tireless efforts to boost the campaign against the ISIS and its American masters. Haj Qassem played an indispensable role in vanquishing ISIS terrorists, despite the American mass supports for the terrorist organization.
It was in September 2017 when Gen. Soleimani spread the good tidings of ISIS’ ultimate defeat, saying: “We managed to dry up ISIS’ roots and we shall celebrate the destruction of the evil lineage of ISIS only within two months. Iran, Russia, Syria and Iraq must celebrate this victory.”
Through his perseverance and determination, Haj Qassem Soleimani on 21st November 2017, in a letter addressed to Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, declared the victory over ISIS. A part of his letter reads, “and hereby I, Your Eminence’s most humble soldier, announce the ending of the reign of this doomed evil lineage [ISIS] by lowering the flag of this American-Zionist group and raising the Syrian flag, following the liberation of Bukmal, the last ISIS stronghold.”
