Qassem Soleimani: Eternal Icon of Islamic Revolution
Today and after more than a year since the martyrdom of General Qassem Soleimani by the American terrorist army in Baghdad, it became clear that US vicious agendas are in confrontation with the true wishes of the nations of the Middle-East region who aspire for peace and security.
The inhumane policies adopted by the previous American administration in assassinating Gen. Soleimani who was deemed by the people of the region as a liberator, hero and an icon of the fight against ISIS was not congruent with any of the established legal provisions and was a clear violation of international laws and conventions.
Although, martyrdom in the path of God is a wish for every Muslim and General Soleimani and his companions had a long-lasting desire for it, but we should not ignore the fact that Trump by committing the heinous crime of assassinating Gen. Soleimani demonstrated his malicious plot against the security and stability of Muslim countries.
Trump’s fatuous belief was that by killing Gen. Soleimani, Iran’s regional influence would be significantly curtailed, but US criminal actions had reverse repercussions as millions of Iranian and Iraqi mourners poured into streets bidding farewell to the heroic martyrdom of Gen. Soleimani and Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis,
The imbecile US ex-president sought to take revenge from Gen. Soleimani because the Iranian legendary commander dealt a mortal blow to the ISIS’ self-proclaimed caliphate. In reality, by eradicating the Saudi-backed ISIS terrorists, Qassem Soleimani inflicted enormous damage to the corrupt western politicians and their Arab lackeys who pursued stirring up civil wars in the oil-rich Middle-East.
Qassem Soleimani’s glorious martyrdom and his massive funeral procession which was attended by the millions of Iranians signalled that the Islamic Revolution is still an alive vision. In the aftermath, the Zionists and their American masters felt humiliated in the face of the greatness of the Iranian nation as the Iranians slapped them across the face by once again owing allegiance to Islam and the Islamic Republic.
Gen. Soleimani was the champion of the Iranian nation since he was the Iranian lofty cultural values. He was indeed a man of spirituality and piety. Soleimani’s martyrdom became a symbol of resistance against the world’s dark and arrogant powers.
