Assassinating General Soleimani: a crime which precipitated the ultimate US collapse?
On the early Friday, January 3, 2020, the villainous Trump administration martyred the head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC)’s Quds Force, Major General Qassem Soleimani, who was in an official visit to Baghdad, in order to boost Washington’s chaotic agendas over the oil-rich Middle-East. In that horrendous crime, Abu Mahdi al-Mohandes, the deputy commander of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), was also martyred along with his entourage.
The imperialist and warmongering United States attempted to stymie the victorious military achievements won by the ‘Axis of Resistance’ through dastardly assassinating Gen. Soleimani, who had the most salient role in defeating ISIS.
Trump treacherously ordered the assassination under the specious pretext that Gen. Soleimani was about to carry out an imminent attack against the US interests in the region. Throughout history, the United States repetitively perpetrated heinous crimes against the Iranian nation, but this time, by committing a direct assault against a top Iranian commander, Washington openly manifested its malign schemes against the world.
But to the detriment of Trump and his clique, that heinous attack backfired and had deleterious repercussions for the American hegemony.
The very first outcome of the Gen. Soleimani’s assassination was that the entire Iranian nation coalesced under the banner of Islam and the axis of Resistance’. The unprecedented mass funeral for the Haj Qassem Soleimani had an explicit message to the US terrorist leaders, which was Iranians, regardless of their different political opinions, shall defend their national honour and integrity. In other words, Haj Qassem became a paramount symbol of Iranian national unity.
The second most significant ramification of that coward act of assassination was the renewal of brotherly unity between the Iranian and Iraqi Muslim nations, which the United States sought to weaken through the past decade.
The third negative result of the assassination of Martyr Soleimani for the Yankees was the Iranian retaliatory missile barrage targeting the Ain Al-Assad airbase, a strategic US military camp in western Iraq which invariably shattered the US pernicious prestige across the globe. Following WWII, no country dared to carry out direct military punitive measures against the arrogant Americans. Hence, by pounding the Ain Al-Assad airbase, the Islamic Republic of Iran was the first nation that rubbed Trump’s nose in dirt. It would be remiss to forget that the Iranian attack dealt a massive blow to the morale of the entire US military in Iraq and beyond.
And last but not least, in the wake of Trump’s empty boasts following the assassination of Gen. Soleimani, the Iraqi parliament in a historic session unanimously passed a resolution, urging the United States Army to withdraw immediately from the Iraqi territories; Trump’s evil dreams were all but gone with the wind.
Following the glorious martyrdom of Haj Qassem, The Iranian allies in the ‘Axis of Resistance’, like Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, and Palestine, not only became more resolute than ever in seeking revenge for the blood of Gen. Soleimani but became more insistent in demanding the complete withdrawal of US troops from the Middle-East.
